The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between all security departments. The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities and maintains control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. This position is responsible for competing task work orders for all maintenance needs reported.
Job Responsibility:
Alarm Monitoring: Operators monitor all physical security equipment on a global basis to ensure the physical security of all employees, contingents, and office spaces
Access Management: Operators manage day to day access to all company facilities, ensuring compliance with customer, auditorial, and company policy
CCTV System: Operators manage the companies CCTV system and process video footage request
Conduct alarm monitoring
Manage all access report requests in accordance with company policy
Notify the appropriate personnel in an emergency
Liaison between clients, other departments, and company leadership during an emergency
Monitor and control removal of company and personal property
Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities
Manage the day-to-day requirements for the Companies Anti-tailgating program
Evaluate and recommend improved procedural safety/security protocols or processes
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Stay calm in critical or stressful situations
Work flexible schedules, including some nights and weekends
Accurately maintain control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. Accurately logs all equipment and keys signed out and returned by security
Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Work experience must include of the following: Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to expertly prepare reports
Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problems
Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
Possession of highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals
Demonstrated ability to operate radio, telephone equipment and/or console monitors
Flexibility to work various shifts and willingness to assist the team when needed
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under pressure
