GSE Mechanic performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on assigned support equipment under contract to Amentum. Utilize Maintenance Instruction Manuals, Maintenance requirement Cards, Illustrated Parts Breakdown Manuals and related diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Maintain, Service, repair, troubleshoot, inspect, and modify various, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components relating to support equipment. Must be able to perform minor corrosion control and document all maintenance history utilizing OPNAV 4790/52 (Support Equipment History and Maintenance Record). Perform related duties independently in Hazardous areas such as Aircraft operation Ramps and Flight line. Ensure all maintenance actions are performed in accordance with government safety and OSHA standards, have thorough knowledge of flight line operations and procedures. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position in accordance with NAVAIRINST 3710.1 series. Must ensure compliance with all current Environmental Protection Agency rules and regulations and keep the required logs and records. Perform preventative maintenance duties as determined by written and verbal instructions. Requires thorough knowledge of flight line operations procedures. Comply with all applicable sections of CNAFINST 4790.2, NAVAIRINST 3710.1 series and Amentum Local Site Procedures as applicable to aircraft maintenance. Ensures work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner and complies with all OSHA and Amentum safety rules and regulations. Technicians must be able to prioritize workloads, maintain schedules, and perform other maintenance standards on assigned projects. Technicians shall have authority to direct, mentor, instruct and assist lower classification level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties. Technicians shall demonstrate ability, experience, and qualifications necessary to perform the work. Shall work with other groups or personnel to resolve problems. Perform related duties as assigned including all duties of lower rated technical personnel within their classification. Assist other shop/skills as required.

Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
Four years US Navy/USMC/USCG O-level CNAFINST 4790.2 series aircraft maintenance support experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance
US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Previous Military must provide DD214 with Honorable Discharge
Shall be required to obtain a Govt. issued Common Access Card (CAC)
Position regularly requires standing, walking, use of hands and fingers to handle, grip, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to talk or hear
Must be able to regularly manually lift and/or move weights greater than 50 pounds
Ladder work and working at heights at or above 40 feet is required
Able to work in outside weather conditions on aircraft flight line/ramp
Must be able to interact with other personnel within and outside of the department to resolve related problems
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position in accordance with NAVAIRINST 3710.1 series
