We are looking for a hands-on Growth Marketing Lead to drive Koala’s acquisition growth in the Australian market. This role sits at the heart of our growth engine, owning our core paid channels and turning commercial goals into strategies that deliver efficient, scalable results. This role requires someone who thrives in the numbers but can also step back and influence direction. You will be responsible for identifying the growth levers that matter, improving how we acquire customers, and helping Koala stay competitive as channels and algorithms shift. Your work will directly impact our growth trajectory in Australia and support Koala’s broader ambition to scale globally.
Job Responsibility:
Own paid media strategy and performance across Meta, Google, YouTube, and TikTok
Turn commercial targets into focused channel plans, budgets, pacing, and optimisation priorities
Collaborate with the growth and cross-functional teams to create full-funnel and channel-based growth strategies and ideas
Build, launch, and manage campaigns with best-practice structure, tracking, and naming conventions
Run a structured testing program across paid social and paid search
Design and run A/B tests across creative, audiences, offers, and formats
Lead performance analysis and reporting to inform decisions and guide ongoing optimisation
Build a tight testing rhythm with the Creative Strategist
Maintain daily pacing dashboards and KPI reporting across channels
Promote a data-driven, test-and-learn culture
Stay across platform shifts, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure paid media is aligned with broader marketing and commercial priorities
Support planning and forecasts with grounded channel assumptions and clear visibility on risks and opportunities
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in performance or growth marketing
Proven track record of scaling a consumer brand and managing large-scale advertising budgets to drive paid channel growth
Deep, hands-on expertise across paid marketing mix, in particular Paid Social (Meta, TikTok), SEM (Google Ads)
Experience across SEO, CRM, Affiliates, TV/BVOD also a plus
Advanced in Excel and highly proficient in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau)
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic decisions
Excellent communicator & collaborator
Customer-obsessed & commercially minded with a strong understanding of business metrics and P&L management
