Job Description

Growth and Performance Manager | Auckland, NZ. Casual/Permanent Part Time (2–3 Days Per Week) | Hybrid | Travel Required. Success Tutoring is Australia’s fastest-growing education franchisor, and we are now expanding rapidly across New Zealand. We are seeking a proactive Growth and Performance Manager to act as the vital bridge between our Franchise Partners and HQ. In this role, you are the guardian of the "Success Tutoring Playbook." You will provide the hands-on guidance and coordination needed to ensure our New Zealand centres operate at peak efficiency while delivering high-impact English and Maths programs that align with the New Zealand Curriculum (Year 1–13). This is a casual position starting at 2–3 days per week. As our New Zealand network expands, there is a genuine pathway for this role to transition into a permanent part-time position.

Job Responsibility

  • Playbook Implementation: Partner closely with Franchise Partners to implement our proven operational and growth strategies, ensuring every centre in New Zealand is set up for success
  • HQ Conduit: Act as the primary link between New Zealand operations and our Head Office, ensuring clear communication, resource sharing, and alignment with brand goals
  • Operational Guidance: Provide expert guidance on the Success Tutoring methodology, helping Franchise Partners deliver tutoring that meets local parent expectations and NZ educational standards
  • Performance Coaching: Conduct regular business reviews and operational "health checks," empowering Franchise Partners to elevate their leadership and student outcomes
  • Local Growth Assistance: Assist Franchise Partners in executing hyper-local marketing campaigns and building meaningful partnerships with local schools and community groups
  • Brand Excellence & Compliance: Help partners maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all locations, identifying ways to streamline operations and boost efficiency

Requirements

  • Education Advocate: passionate about the education sector and genuinely enjoy coaching small business owners to achieve their goals
  • Mobility & Travel: hold a full New Zealand Driver’s Licence and have a reliable vehicle for regular travel to centres across Auckland and surrounding regions
  • Flexibility: willing and able to travel domestically (flights) to support other New Zealand territories as the brand launches in new regions
  • Compliance: must undergo a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Vet in accordance with the Children’s Act 2014
  • Operational Experience: at least 2 years’ experience coaching operations or supporting franchisees/multi-site managers, with a focus on tracking performance and problem-solving
  • Strategic Execution: proven experience working through structured improvement programs and detailed action planning to hit KPIs
  • Systems Focused: hands-on experience rolling out consistent brand standards and ensuring business programs are followed to the letter
  • Facilitation Skills: confidence in delivering impactful group training and workshops that lift performance and build partner capability
  • Influential Communicator: exceptional relationship-building skills—you can influence and motivate Franchise Partners while acting as the primary conduit to HQ
  • Commercial Pragmatism: strong empathy for the challenges of small business owners, balanced with commercial pragmatism and a focus on accountability
  • Proactive Organisation: highly organised and comfortable holding others to high brand standards to ensure network excellence
  • Solutions-Focused: a natural problem-solver who remains calm and focused under pressure, especially when navigating the challenges of a new market launch

What we offer

  • Total Remuneration Package: includes the base rate plus the statutory 3% Employer KiwiSaver contribution
  • Mileage Reimbursement: reimbursed for mileage at the current IRD (Inland Revenue) rates
  • Travel Expenses: All costs associated with domestic flights and overnight stays for regional support visits will be covered or reimbursed
  • Performance-based bonuses tied to franchise growth and centre performance outcomes
