Job Description:

Our Grower Marketing Relationship Manager, is the primary point of contact between Wilmar Sugar & Renewables and local sugarcane growers. Based at our Proserpine mill, you will manage and deepen relationships with existing growers, providing expert advice on marketing, pricing, and payment options, while identifying opportunities to grow GEI market share. You will lead grower forums and community initiatives, attend industry events, and improve engagement through mill tours and shed meetings. Additionally, you will monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and seasonal factors affecting grower decisions, providing insights to the broader team and contributing to the development of innovative pricing and engagement strategies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with growers, providing ongoing advice on marketing, pricing, and payment options.
  • Develop annual engagement plans and grower segmentation strategies to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and seasonal factors affecting grower decisions.
  • Lead and participate in grower forums, events, mill tours, and shed meetings to foster community and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of grower interactions, feedback, and market insights within Salesforce CRM.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (agriculture, business, finance) or equivalent practical experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in relationship management or a similar role, ideally within agriculture
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to product and service offerings.
  • Knowledge of agriculture, sugar industry, commodity markets, and financial products (derivatives, futures, hedging) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, combined with commercial awareness and emotional intelligence.
