Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel & Conference Center is looking for a Groups, Meetings & Events Manager who takes ownership of the full group journey and connects people across the hotel.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for all group enquiries from beginning to end
Lead and guide team through enquiry handling, conversion, commercial alignment, detailed planning, and follow-up
Ensure enquiries are converted efficiently and profitably while maintaining strong client relationships and high service standards
Work closely with commercial teams, operational departments, and own team
Coach and guide team throughout the full group lifecycle
Keep overview of all enquiries, deadlines and confirmed business
Ensure planning is accurate, detailed and clearly communicated
Support team during busy periods or complex enquiries
Create clarity around priorities and responsibilities
Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture
Ensure high attention to detail and consistency in all planning stages
Ensure clear handovers and alignment with operational departments
Ensure high guest satisfaction and reliable delivery
Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows
Share ideas and insights with the Director of Sales & Events
Requirements:
Have experience in meetings & events within hospitality
Bring people management or team‑leading experience
Are commercially aware and focused on conversion and results
Communicate clearly and confidently with multiple stakeholders
Are strong in building and maintaining relationships
Keep overview in a busy, detail‑driven environment
Enjoy working as the connecting link between teams
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Event Management or a related field
Have several years of relevant experience in a similar environment
Are fluent in English
