Job Description

As a Group, Conference & Events Executive, you will be driving groups, meetings & events enquiries from initial enquiry through to conversion and execution and as an ambassador to the hotel, you will be an expert on all the facilities on offer with the ability to advise guests based on their individual needs. You will qualify leads, create proposals, follow through and convert business in line with the hotel’s strategy. You will also conduct site visits ensuring all guests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner. The Groups , Conference & Events Executive will be supporting the Groups, Conference & Events Manager and work closely with our Sales Manager, Revenue Manager & General Manager as well as with our colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and handovers to operations are seamless.

Job Responsibility

  • Driving groups, meetings & events enquiries from initial enquiry through to conversion and execution
  • being an ambassador to the hotel
  • being an expert on all the facilities on offer with the ability to advise guests based on their individual needs
  • qualifying leads, creating proposals, following through and converting business in line with the hotel’s strategy
  • conducting site visits ensuring all guests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
  • supporting the Groups, Conference & Events Manager
  • working closely with our Sales Manager, Revenue Manager & General Manager as well as with our colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and handovers to operations are seamless
  • following the hotel sales process, including directly answering incoming group and event enquiries, hotel site visits, event management procedures and accuracy of billing
  • creating event function sheets to ensure clients requirements are accurately captured and distributed to the operations team
  • pre-event communication through emails & calls, conducting menu tastings and post-event calls

  • minimum of 1 years’ experience working in hotel sales team
  • possess excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • organised with the ability to work on own initiative with excellent attention to detail
  • computer literate with experience of hotel PMS such as Opera OSEM or similar system
  • strong negotiation skills with a passion for driving conversion
  • sales focused and enthusiastic with outstanding customer service skills
