Job Description:

Join the #1 leader in hospitality worldwide. We are looking for a Group Reservations/Events Coordinator to join our Sales Department at Four Points by Sheraton Auckland, a modern, upscale hotel located in the heart of Auckland's central business district. The role involves coordinating group reservations and events while ensuring personalized service in line with brand values.

Job Responsibility:

  • Input group rooming lists using reservation systems (e.g., MARSHA, Fidelio, OPERA)
  • Keep organized files of all groups for easy and accurate reference for an event
  • Revise room blocks in the reservation system to maintain the required number of available rooms after rooming lists are entered
  • Set-up proper billing accounts according to Accounting policies
  • Input and access data in reservation system by entering correct information into proper fields
  • Indicate special room reservation types by inputting the correct code and rate into the reservation system
  • Liaise with F&B, Kitchen, Sales and other relevant departments to make sure that the client achieve seamless service during their business stay at the hotel
  • Work with the sales team on any tradeshow or events
  • Design, confirm, and effectively communicate room layouts and set-up requirements for special events
  • Enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases
  • Coordinate all catering and conference events staged in the hotel
  • Liase with the Food and Beverage Operations team ensuring that the correct methods of service are to be maintained as per standard operating procedure
  • Arrange and conduct Hotel familirisations and/or site inspections as and when required

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and professionally with guests and stakeholders
  • Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
  • Exceptional computer skills- Microsoft Office Words, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience with using reservation system e.g. MARSHA, Fidelio, OPERA is preferred
  • Hospitality background is essential
  • Sales experience would be a bonus
  • Individual who can comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
