As a Groups & Events Executive at St. Pancras, you will take the responsibility for group bookings, meetings & special events. You will ensure a high level of service throughout the complete transaction and coordinate with the Regional Sales Office, hotel departments, and customers to take total responsibility for the assigned group & events. The role requires actively upselling business opportunities to maximize revenue and ensuring timely service delivery while achieving personal and team revenue goals.

Requirements:
Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, clients, agencies, and entertainment individuals
effectively use sales resources and administrative/support staff
create contracts as required
serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations
understand the product we offer, including room types/layouts, capacities, and event/restaurant menus
prepare all event documentation and coordinate with Sales, hotel departments, and customer to ensure successful delivery of hotel events of least complexity
display leadership in guest hospitality and ensure consistently high levels of customer service
build the unit’s top line revenue by focusing on the post-contractual sale of products and services
maximize revenue by upselling contracted products to event planners and attendees
identify additional revenue opportunities
coordinate and communicate event & groups details both verbally and in writing to the customer and hotel operations
manage group room blocks and meeting space of assigned groups and/or events
work collaboratively with off-property sales channels
proactively identify operational challenges and work with the hotel staff and customer to solve these challenges
use Opera Catering & PMS system to manage sales & account relationships
ensure forecasted revenue is always up to date
ensure that all diary entries are up to date with booking status and client details
maintain an efficient and organised filing policy on all enquiries
understand the overall market including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business
present and maintain high standards of communication, both written and verbal.
