Job Responsibility

  • Deliver key aspects of the half-year and year-end group tax reporting cycle, including operation of SOX controls
  • Prepare and lead aspects of our internal tax forecasting, and the CbCR and Pillar 2 compliance
  • Be a ‘tax’ business partner with a portfolio of local markets
  • Preparation of the group’s effective tax rate calculations, deferred tax calculations, and disclosure
  • In-year and future-year ETR and cash-tax forecasting, including scenario planning
  • Operating evidence-led tax SOX controls, coordinating statutory audit queries, and supporting continuous improvement
  • Pillar 2 global minimum tax compliance
  • The group’s external Total Economic Contribution reporting
  • Operating and monitoring KPIs on local market reporting compliance
  • The collation and review of the group’s tax risks, and supporting related governance processes
  • Summarising complex information for senior stakeholders
  • Be a ‘tax’ business partner with local teams
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of the systems and data that underpin the tax reporting and control processes

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable using Large Language Models / AI
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent qualifications with 5 years’ post qualification experience, including at least 2 years’ experience in tax accounting/reporting
  • In-house experience is desirable
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to summarise complex explanations, issues and proposed solutions to diverse audiences
  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage concurrent workstreams and internal and external stakeholders, such as our statutory auditors
  • Strong tax accounting knowledge, including experience designing, improving and operating SOX controls and maintaining robust evidence
  • Experience supporting and coordinating others through structured delivery (e.g., timetable-driven reporting cycles)
  • A ‘change’ and ‘solution lead’ mindset, with curiosity for enabling technology (data quality, automation and analytics) that improves control, insight and efficiency
  • Experience of working in a Group Tax reporting environment in a multinational company
  • A good working knowledge of the tax rules in one jurisdiction, along with a basic working knowledge of the Pillar 2 rules
  • Good working knowledge of HFM and Longview Tax Provision is highly desirable
  • experience with other enterprise performance management, reporting and/or tax technology solutions is also valuable
