The Group Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all German tax affairs across the group. Reporting to the Team Lead Tax Compliance & Dispute Management, this role ensures full German tax compliance and contributes to maintaining a robust, efficient, and forward-looking tax framework for the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and coordinate direct and indirect tax filings for all German entities in collaboration with external tax advisors
Act as a Tax Business Partner for the German market team, providing tax structuring advice and support on all relevant matters
Lead the preparation of German CFC (Controlled Foreign Company) calculations and filings
Support ongoing tax audits for German entities
Calculate tax provisions for the annual financial yearend closing
Prepare tax disclosures for the group’s IFRS consolidated financial statements and ensure accurate information collection from all group entities
Proactively maintain and manage the Group Tax Compliance Calendar
Support the Team Lead Tax Compliance & Dispute Management with implementing the new tax forecasting tool (P&L and cash tax) and the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS)
Collaborate closely with the International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Accounting, Controlling, and Legal teams
Develop and maintain corporate tax policies where appropriate
Identify tax risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies
Requirements:
German qualified tax advisor (Steuerberater/in)
At least 3 years of professional experience in Tax
Openness to digitalization and ideally first experience with AI‑powered tools
A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
Pragmatic in decision‑making, open to change, and excited about finding smart, workable solutions
Excellent communication skills in German and English, both verbal and written
Curious, eager to learn, and proactive in shaping your own career development
Strong proficiency in standard IT tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Nice to have:
