The University of Denver is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Club Sports Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2025–2026 season. This position requires experience working with a variety of team sports and a strong background in designing and leading strength training sessions in a group setting. The ideal candidate will create a supportive, motivating, and structured environment to help club sport athletes reach their full potential. In addition to working with club teams, this role also includes opportunities to lead high-intensity interval training (HIIT) group fitness classes for the broader campus community, making it a great fit for a coach who thrives in both athletic and recreational training environments.
Job Responsibility:
Design and deliver safe, efficient, and effective strength and conditioning workouts for a variety of sports and fitness levels
Lead high-energy HIIT group fitness classes
Provide modifications and accommodation for varying fitness levels and needs
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive training environment for all athletes
Maintain effective communication with the Fitness & Wellness Manager
Attend mandatory staff meetings and any other training courses required by the division
Abide by the University of Denver policies and guidelines
Requirements:
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Must hold a certification through NSCA, NASM, ACSM, or ACE
Minimum of one year of training/coaching experience
Nice to have:
A degree in a health-related field
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS)
Two or more years of experience in creating training sessions for a variety of sports
Experience in training college-level athletes and/or experience with club sports
