Job Responsibility:
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities to grow private hire, group bookings and corporate revenue
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, local businesses and community partners
Conduct regular local outreach to increase brand awareness and nurture meaningful partnerships
Create and manage contra partnerships with local hotels, theatres, community groups and aligned brands
Represent Nell’s at networking and hospitality industry events where appropriate
Secure high-value bookings and repeat business across multiple venues
Manage and convert all booking enquiries for groups of 13+ guests
Upsell packages, add-ons and menu enhancements to maximise spend per head
Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to create compelling, guest-friendly packages and minimum spends
Own and optimise the booking system (Collins), ensuring booking types, processes and the guest journey are clear, effective and commercially strong
Support and coach site teams to confidently use the booking system to its full capability
Organise and host networking events, venue showcases and client site visits
Deliver tailored solutions that balance guest expectations with operational excellence
Track and analyse sales performance, booking trends and conversion metrics
Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets
Work alongside Operations to create site specific plans and tactics to hit budgets and uplift sales on quiet sessions
Deliver against monthly KPIs and maintain clear activity reporting
Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Lead on long-term seasonal planning
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and guest preferences
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales, business development or events management within hospitality
A strong network across Northern hospitality, corporate and events sectors
Commercially aware, target-driven and confident negotiating high-value bookings
Experience building sales strategies and delivering clear reporting
Comfortable using CRM systems and booking platforms (Collins experience preferred)
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently
Collaborative mindset, able to build strong relationships with Marketing, Operations and site teams
Positive, energetic and tenacious attitude
