The Group Sales Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure all requested services are delivered seamlessly to customers, providing servicing support when required. This role is responsible for achieving individual booking goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The Group Sales Manager will lead proactive sales initiatives, including identifying new group business opportunities through strategic prospecting, targeted outreach, and creative lead‑generation efforts. This includes building strong pipeline activity by researching market trends, monitoring competitor activity, engaging untapped segments, and leveraging data-driven insights to anticipate client needs and maximize revenue potential. The manager will actively source new accounts, re-engage dormant ones, and deploy tailored strategies to grow market share.
Job Responsibility:

Provide servicing support when required
Achieve individual booking goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Lead proactive sales initiatives including identifying new group business opportunities through strategic prospecting, targeted outreach, and creative lead‑generation
Build strong pipeline activity by researching market trends, monitoring competitor activity, engaging untapped segments, and leveraging data-driven insights
Actively source new accounts, re-engage dormant ones, and deploy tailored strategies to grow market share
Represent the hotel at tradeshows as designated
Participate in business review meetings, special events, sales meetings, and other ad hoc meetings
Develop new and existing accounts by mapping business patterns, understanding buying behaviors, and creating comprehensive group profiles
Maintain an organized, professional plan for correspondence, follow-up, and ongoing relationship management
Generate hotel awareness and drive new business through direct phone sales, in‑person sales calls, proactive prospecting, tradeshows, networking events, and digital outreach
Leverage CRM tools to track activity, manage leads, and maintain accurate account data
Requirements:
2-3 years previous experience in a similar role
Solid selling and interpersonal skills
Energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals
Proven track record in pursuing, evaluating, soliciting, selling and confirming business to meet goals and budget
Strong command of the English language
Travel may be required
