Job Responsibility:
Analyse and evaluate financial risks using actuarial techniques and models
Dive into large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that will inform our risk management strategies
Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate your findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Work alongside other departments, including Finance, Group Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance to ensure a holistic approach to risk management
Bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table, helping us stay ahead in a rapidly changing financial landscape
Oversight of reserving processes to ensure adequate provisions for future claims
Support the business with risk and capital assessments for new products, businesses, and propositions
Validate actuarial models and expand the function’s remit into wider model validation across the group
Lead the department’s contribution to the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), stress and scenario testing, and capital management activities
Provide support to several areas such as IFRS17, Reinsurance, and the Internal Model Application Process
Requirements:
A qualified actuary with a strong academic background in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related field
Strong knowledge of Solvency II regulations
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex information
A collaborative mindset, ready to work with diverse teams and contribute to a positive work environment
A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a passion for staying updated on industry trends and developments
