Job Description:

The Group Reservations Manager leads and oversees all group reservation operations within the Groups & Conventions department. This role serves as the strategic point of contact for Meeting Planners and Convention Services Managers, ensuring flawless execution of all reservation-related components of group business. The manager is responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining contractual compliance, optimizing room block performance, and fostering strong internal and external relationships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of group room blocks, ensuring accuracy, compliance with contractual terms, and timely execution of all reservation requirements
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, workflows, and performance expectations for the Group Reservations team
  • Oversee the integrity of data entry and system usage across platforms such as Opera and Marsha
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Convention Services, Front Office, and other operational departments to ensure seamless group execution
  • Lead and participate in key meetings including pre-conferences, group fact sheet reviews, pick-up analyses, and post-event evaluations
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Meeting Planners, ensuring proactive communication and exceptional service delivery
  • Manage VIP arrangements, upgrades, special requests, and rooming list requirements with precision and attention to detail with Conventions Department
  • Monitor pick-up trends, room block performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Recommend process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and continuous feedback to Group Coordinators and other team members
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning opportunities related to systems, procedures, and customer service
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture aligned with hotel standards
  • Weekly meeting with Conventions Services
  • Attend weekly One of One meeting with DCS
  • Full management of the group room blocks
  • Attend pre-con meeting and Group Fact Sheet meetings
