Job Description

Chime is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead Platform Product, which includes Chime’s proprietary payments and ledger processing platform ChimeCore. ChimeCore is a mission-critical, highly technical system that underpins Chime’s core financial products and enables speed, reliability, and regulatory compliance at scale. In this role, you will lead a small, senior team of Product Managers and work deeply cross-functionally with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, and Operations. You will own the product vision and execution for a complex internal platform that directly impacts product velocity, member experience, cost efficiency, and regulatory outcomes across the company. This is a high-impact leadership role for a technically strong product leader who thrives in platform environments and understands how to balance scalability, resilience, and developer experience in a regulated financial system.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ChimeCore, aligning platform investments to company-level priorities and long-term scalability needs
  • Lead and mentor a small team of IC Product Managers, setting a high bar for technical rigor, execution, and stakeholder communication
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable platform capabilities
  • Drive clarity on APIs, internal tooling, data flows, and system boundaries to improve developer velocity and reduce operational risk
  • Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural investments, including platform modernization and resiliency initiatives
  • Establish clear success metrics for platform health, reliability, and adoption across internal teams
  • Act as a key product voice for ChimeCore in executive-level discussions, translating technical tradeoffs into business impact

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of Product Management experience, with significant experience owning internal platforms, infrastructure, or highly technical systems
  • Prior experience leading Product Managers (people leadership or strong team-lead experience)
  • Strong technical fluency — comfortable partnering with senior engineers and discussing system architecture, data models, APIs, and reliability tradeoffs
  • Proven track record working in regulated or high-availability environments (e.g., fintech, payments, banking, healthcare, or large-scale infrastructure)
  • Ability to influence across functions without direct authority and navigate complex organizational dependencies
  • Excellent communication skills — able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

What we offer

  • Bonus
  • Competitive equity package
  • 401k match
  • Great medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • Generous vacation policy and company-wide Chime Days, bonus company-wide paid days off
  • 1% of your time off to support local community organizations of your choice
  • Annual wellness stipend to use towards eligible wellness related expenses
  • Up to 24 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 12 weeks of paid parental leave for non-birthing parents
  • Access to Maven, a family planning tool, with $15k lifetime reimbursement for egg freezing, fertility treatments, adoption, and more
  • In-person and virtual events to connect with your fellow Chimers—think cooking classes, guided meditations, music festivals, mixology classes, paint nights, etc., and delicious snack boxes, too
