The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures
Ensuring adherence to master plans and schedules
Develops solutions to program problems and directs work of Quality Engineering team assigned to multiple programs
Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
Managing resources effectively within budgetary and time constraints
Contributes to the overall success of the company by developing and leading a motivated and productive staff
Establish/assess quality performance criteria in the execution of Program requirements
Develop/establish/maintain processes and metrics that support contract and AS9100 requirements
Contribute technically to Design/Project Reviews, V&V assessments, and Technical Boards
Review of work documents and procurement documents to ensure proper application of inspection requirements
Manage the creation, update, and validation of Acceptance Data Packs
Manage the MR/MRB certification process and support technical assessment of nonconforming products
Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods
Maintains statistical process controls
Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
making recommendations
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies
Contributes to team effort by mentoring team members and documenting quality processes
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in related management area and seven (7) years of experience and three (3) years managing people
Must have a valid US Driver's License
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills required
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and Outlook
Excellent Excel skills to manipulate and analyze data to generate reports in a variety of formats
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary
