Job Description:

As the Group Manager for Graphic Design (Pharmaceutical Packaging), you will play a critical role in ensuring that healthcare professionals and patients can easily and accurately identify the right medications. By adhering to regulatory requirements and continuously enhancing artwork for biosimilars and generic drugs, you will help differentiate products and create a competitive edge in the market. Your work will directly impact the medical field, contributing to safer usage of pharmaceuticals. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless transitions during packaging changes, safeguarding the consistent supply of our products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and creation of pharmaceutical packaging materials, managing the process from concept to completion
  • Ensure the timely execution of artwork-related tasks, contributing to the stable supply of products
  • Proactively collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize brand consistency and ensure smooth project execution

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of artwork-related regulations (Pharmaceutical Affairs Law, Product Labeling Law)
  • Proven ability to manage time efficiently, executing tasks as planned to improve productivity
  • Flexible and adaptable thinking to align with evolving business needs
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to collaborating with internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to schedule, coordinate, and manage tasks while considering cross-functional constraints and lead times
  • Experience in managing a small team (2-3 members)
  • An associate degree or higher
  • Proficiency in necessary PC skills (Adobe Illustrator, intermediate-level MS Office)
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese
  • Conversational English skills with the adaptability to improve work performance

Nice to have:

  • Willingness to travel domestically a few times a year
  • Experience managing full Art Work projects, including decision-making, coordination, and oversight
  • Ability to embrace diversity and resolve conflicts constructively across departments
  • Familiarity with key skills such as: Assembly Language, Change Control, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Continuous Improvement Process, Efficiency, General HSE Knowledge, Good Documentation Practice, CAPA, GMP, Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Process, Process Control, Productivity, Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Scheduling, Six Sigma, SOP, Teamwork, Technology Transfer, and Web Methods Flow
