Job Responsibility:

  • Awareness of local market and the project pipeline that feeds your teams
  • Lead or support with positioning and proposal efforts depending on the scale and complexity of the opportunity
  • Work closely with the Business Leader, Project Management and Commercial Leader, Market Leader, and Practice Leaders in your efforts, as well as Group and Team Leaders with similar market alignment within other regions
  • Management of work pipeline to achieve team goals in relation to utilisation, career growth and strategic business improvements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure projects are adequately resourced to meet project requirements and that your teams are trained and appropriately skilled
  • You will work collaboratively with the regional leadership team to continually seek work for your teams
  • Undertaking hydraulic and hydrological modelling – TUFLOW, URBS, XP RAFTS and WBNM preferred
  • Assistance/mentorship to junior members of the team
  • Producing clear and concise technical reports
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Flood modelling of creek and river systems and overland flow paths
  • Modelling of pipe drainage networks and stormwater quality treatment trains
  • Collaboration with designers, environmental scientists, planners and engineers to deliver designs that are innovative, environmentally sensitive and practical
  • Interaction with clients in order to nurture long lasting relationships

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably post-graduate
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland
  • Minimum of 8 years' related work, leadership, financial management and consulting experience
  • Expertise in leading teams will be highly regarded
  • Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies
  • Highly experienced in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling with demonstrated experience aligned with the technical responsibilities of the role
  • Expertise with dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies
