Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Leader for our Logistics & Material Management Shared Service Center in India. This role is critical in ensuring smooth global transportation and material management operations, driving process efficiency, and maintaining compliance with internal and international standards. The ideal candidate will combine leadership skills with a broad logistics and material management expertise to deliver operational excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop a team of ~15 logistics and material management specialists, fostering collaboration and high performance
  • Manage capacities, ensure performance, and clarify priorities of and inside the team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team to optimize processes and reduce costs
  • Oversee end-to-end operations to ensure smooth execution
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Lead or delegate special tasks to support the Logistics & Material Management function

Requirements:

  • Master´s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Outstanding proven leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to motivate people and to create a trustful work environment
  • Open communication on all hierarchical levels
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Analytial thinking to quickly meet decisions on what is best for the company
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint mandatory
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Experience in working within multinational environments or cross-border teams

Nice to have:

  • SAP skills, especially in MM and EWM in ECC and/or S4 Hana are a plus
