Job Description

Reporting to the Richmond Distribution Supervisor, this selected individual will lead Variety Pack and Universal Pallet production on the assigned shift at the PF West Warehouse located at 1101 N. 800 W. in Logan, Utah. This is a working position, meaning that depending on the level of activity at the warehouse on a given shift, the selected candidate may spend the majority of the shift performing work themselves, or have a team of up to 1 full-time or 18 temporary employees reporting to them. This person will also have oversight of the Universal Pallet and Variety Pack operations located in this facility.

Job Responsibility

  • Safely, efficiently and accurately build manual Variety Pack products and Universal Pallets
  • Prepare the production line and ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly
  • Verify code dates on packaging, and in SAP
  • Ensure finished product code dates are correct
  • Lead the team to achieve production goals
  • Seek out and drive opportunities to improve output and or reduce costs and errors
  • Improve performance against standards
  • Work with the other working lead in this position as they do the same on their shifts
  • Train new team members
  • Drive 5S efforts on this line
  • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting line equipment as needed
  • Lead a Focused Improvement team
  • Design and verify labor needs for new products

Requirements

  • Must have obtained high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak, read, and understand English to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the role
  • Must obtain a forklift license within 3 days

Nice to have

  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Shipping or warehousing experience strongly preferred
