Job Description:

The role will manage Group Insurances programs and initiatives, enforcing policies and procedures at Group level and managing effectively Brokers and Insurance companies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work with Brokers and the business to gather & review renewal information for corporate insurance arrangements
  • Lead all the main policies renewal process to ensure the programme renewal is cost effective with broad policy cover
  • Make recommendations for rating, wording and insurers to Management
  • Identify property acquisitions and sales, and all other key indicators to ensure insurance arrangements are up-to-date, premiums agreed with insurers and premiums billed to subsidiaries as appropriate
  • Identify and spot any risk under/over insured within the Business and make recommendations for effective management of the risks
  • Communicate effectively and timely with the organisation on cover arrangements, premiums and recoveries
  • Review and negotiate contractual insurance obligations placed on the organisation
  • Coordinate the liability claims notification process to insurers so that the insurers have sufficient information to investigate claims and monitor the effectiveness of the insurer's claims handling service
  • Design and implement, in conjunction with other departments handling risks, an overall risk management process of insured risks, which includes analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
  • Identify and work with the organisation to create practices and procedures that ensure risks are managed effectively from an insurance viewpoint
  • Prepare and develop Insurance risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience, to keep Management updated about the most significant risks and policies trend, ensure relevant business department understand the trends that might affect their departments, ensure individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks
  • Keep procedures up-to-date and ensure appropriate people are aware and able to follow the procedures as appropriate
  • Set strategy for event management within the organisation, produce clear guidelines and ensure adherence to the procedures, in conjunction with relevant teams
  • Resolve insurance queries from departments and third parties

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject such as accounting, business or financial management, Statistics
  • at least 5 years working experience in the field
  • Proven exposure to risk management in insurance companies, brokers, financial institutions or industrial companies in a multinational context
  • Extensive experience handling large projects and knowledge of policy wordings with an understanding of contract law
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and structure issues for detailed resolution
  • Understanding of risk management and ability to persuade others to follow best practice
  • Successful track record in handling insurance negotiations between client, Broker and Insurers
  • Risk oriented approach
  • Able to gain an understanding of key topics by in-depth analysis of key data
  • Able to gather all key matters with special attention to details
  • able to use critical approach to gather hidden risks
  • Ability to communicate in any format, working within a matrix organization to influence and aid the understanding of clients and business partners
