Job Description:

Group Head of IT – Leading Innovation and Digital Transformation at Atlas FM. At Atlas FM, technology and data are central to how we evolve, grow, and deliver impact. As Group Head of IT, you will lead our IT function nationally, overseeing Systems, Technical Services (FM), and Data Insights to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions that underpin our growth strategy. This is a senior strategic role requiring a strong background in Facilities Management (FM) across both hard and soft services. You will shape and deliver the next five years of IT infrastructure and digital capability, driving innovation in systems, automation, AI strategy, and cybersecurity. You’ll also represent IT in client meetings and sales presentations, articulating the value of our CAFM system (Maximo) with clarity and confidence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the business's ambitious growth plans
  • Lead Systems & Technical Services (FM) while working closely with the Data Insights team to deliver integrated, forward-thinking solutions
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of IT infrastructure to meet evolving business needs
  • Champion cybersecurity and ISO27001 compliance in collaboration with our compliance team
  • Lead the development and implementation of our AI strategy to support efficiency and innovation
  • Manage budgets, suppliers, and resources to drive value and performance
  • Implement IT governance frameworks, ensuring best practice and risk mitigation
  • Support client engagement by showcasing Atlas FM’s Maximo CAFM capabilities and digital offering
  • Monitor emerging technologies to future-proof IT delivery

Requirements:

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • Proven senior leadership experience in IT, ideally within the FM sector
  • Strong understanding of CAFM systems (Maximo experience preferred)
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, governance, and compliance (including ISO27001)
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused approach to leading high-performing, cross-functional teams
  • Experience in vendor and budget management
  • Confident presentation skills to support client engagement and business development

  • Take the lead on the Annual Report & Accounts financial statements, notes and all supporting schedules and be our go-to for technical accounting
  • Run a smooth external audit process and support the Director of Finance with well-crafted Audit Committee papers
  • Set clear reporting instructions and timetables, coordinating with finance and wider teams so submissions land on time
  • Oversee completion of all subsidiary statutory accounts and keep our accounting policies fully aligned to IFRS
  • Maintain strong controls and reconciliations over key accounts, including intercompany balances
  • Partner with our Finance Systems Manager to get the best from the Navision consolidation system and continuously improve how we report
  • Help simplify the corporate structure, including winding up dormant entities where appropriate
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Compliance & Controls to strengthen processes and the overall control environment
