Job Description

As Group Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality statutory and management reporting while supporting the ongoing development of robust financial controls across the Group. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will contribute to accurate reporting, compliance, and insight to support effective decision‑making. Job Responsibility

  • Prepare accurate annual statutory accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries, including supporting notes and working papers
  • Manage the annual external audit process, ensuring compliance and effective liaison with auditors
  • Support tax compliance across the Group, including VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax, PAYE, PSA and P11D submissions
  • Partner with the Group Finance Manager to strengthen and standardise financial controls, processes and reporting across the Group
  • Assist with monthly Group financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, forecasting and treasury activities
  • Support HMRC and Companies House filings and contribute to ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as required

Requirements

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant, ideally trained within a practice environment
  • Strong experience preparing statutory accounts for a Group of companies
  • Knowledge of corporation tax
  • Solid audit experience
  • Strong technical accounting skillset
  • Deep understanding of accounting standards and robust financial controls
