Job Description

You will be Aiven's primary owner of group consolidation and financial reporting. This is a technical leadership role, not a coordination role. You’ll own the integrity of our consolidated financials, our IFRS compliance, our revenue treatment, and our audit outcomes. You will sit inside a Finance team that is serious about doing things right — and equally serious about doing them efficiently. That means you bring both depth and pace.

Job Responsibility

  • Own group accounting end to end
  • Lead the monthly close and IFRS reporting cycle
  • Own revenue accounting and controlling
  • Be the primary counterpart for external audit
  • Navigate tax at group level

  • Improve our processes

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with hands-on experience in group consolidation and IFRS reporting
  • Understands IFRS 15 well enough to assess new contract structures and identify recognition risks
  • Can resolve a complex accounting question without escalating to a manager
  • Has been the primary interface with external auditors
  • Understands group tax mechanics well enough to translate positions from the Tax Manager into accurate financial statement treatment
  • A process improver by instinct
  • A clear communicator who can explain technical accounting positions to non-accountants
  • Comfortable in a scaling environment
  • Has built or improved reporting processes in a fast-moving international company
