As the Group Financial Controller for a premier industrial manufacturer listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia, you will serve as a pivotal strategic leader overseeing the group's entire financial framework. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity, statutory compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple subsidiaries. This role requires a high-caliber professional capable of navigating the complexities of a PLC environment while driving the group's strategic growth and financial performance.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the preparation and consolidation of Group financial statements in strict accordance with MFRS/IFRS and Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listing Requirements
Oversee the timely submission of quarterly announcements and annual reports to Bursa Malaysia
Manage the full spectrum of the month-end and year-end closing processes across all manufacturing and regional entities
Serve as the primary liaison for the Audit Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., SC, SSM)
Orchestrate the Group's annual budgeting and mid-to-long-term strategic planning (MTDP) cycles
Provide sophisticated variance analysis and data-driven insights to the Group CFO and MD to support strategic decision-making
Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) via Balanced Scorecards and Corporate Dashboards to evaluate business unit effectiveness
Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives across manufacturing facilities to maximize profit margins
Lead corporate exercises, which may include bond issuances, rights issues, private placements, or M&A due diligence
Manage group treasury functions, including multi-currency FX hedging, cash flow velocity, and working capital optimization
Evaluate and manage the group's capital structure and debt financing arrangements with financial institutions
Strengthen the group governance framework through the implementation of robust internal controls and standardized SOPs
Ensure comprehensive tax compliance, including Corporate Income Tax, SST, and international Transfer Pricing documentation
Lead the implementation of digital transformation projects, such as e-Invoicing and ERP system enhancements (e.g., SAP S/4HANA)
Requirements:
A Degree in Accounting/Finance and a mandatory professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA)
Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a Public Listed Company (PLC)
Proven foundation in a Big 4 Audit Firm (EY, PwC, KPMG, or Deloitte) is essential
Direct experience in Industrial Manufacturing or related sectors, including a strong grasp of product costing (Standard/Actual) and BOM analysis
High resilience, results-oriented mindset, and the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders through clear and persuasive communication
