Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a pivotal group-level role within a business experiencing sustained growth and investment. The position plays a central role within the finance function, taking ownership of group financial accounting and reporting activities. Reporting into senior leadership, you will provide technical expertise, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and drive best practice across financial processes and controls. You will manage the full month-end cycle and oversee a small team, working within a wider collaborative finance department. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, statutory compliance, and strategic support.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of the monthly reporting cycle, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Provide detailed analysis and commentary to support senior management decision-making
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of balance sheet reconciliations, including oversight of fixed assets, leases and depreciation
  • Monitor and implement changes in accounting standards where required
  • Manage the statutory audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare technical accounting papers on complex or judgement-based matters
  • Maintain and enhance group accounting policies and procedures
  • Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks
  • Support wider financial risk management processes

Requirements
