Job Description:

We are seeking an inspiring and growth-oriented Group Director, Influencer & Creator Marketing, responsible for leading and scaling DEPT®’s influencer practice across strategy, sales, client leadership, and activation. This is a new opportunity within our agency, and one that will uplevel and expand our existing creator and influencer marketing offering. It requires seasoned leadership and management skills, a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of the creator economy and media industry at large, and experience driving growth. This role reports directly to the VP of Integrated Strategy and partners closely with senior leaders at the intersection of growth and business development, Media, Creative, and Client services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner with senior leadership, client partners, and growth teams to identify, shape, and close new business opportunities
  • Lead influencer strategy and storytelling in new business pitches, RFPs, and proactive proposals
  • Develop unique influencer approaches and offerings that differentiate DEPT® in the market
  • Contribute to pricing strategies, scope design, and commercial models for influencer and creator engagements
  • Serve as the senior influencer lead for key client relationships, working directly with CMOs, VPs, and senior marketing leaders
  • Act as a trusted advisor on the creator economy, platform trends, and the role of influencers in driving business outcomes
  • Lead high-stakes conversations around strategy, performance, investment, and optimization
  • Ensure influencer work delivers against both brand and performance objectives, translating results into future growth opportunities
  • Refine and evolve DEPT®’s point of view on influencer and creator marketing, including the role of creators across paid, organic, and performance channels
  • Establish best-in-class ways of working, tools, frameworks, and standards for influencer strategy, casting, execution, and measurement
  • Partner with creative, media, production, analytics, and global teams to integrate influencer marketing into broader client solutions
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platforms, and creator dynamics, turning insights into actionable offerings and thought leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a growing team of influencer strategists and managers across levels
  • Set clear expectations around craft excellence, commercial thinking, and client leadership
  • Partner with senior leadership on headcount planning, team structure, and long-term capability growth
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the influencer team and beyond
  • Own senior relationships with top creators, talent agencies, and platform partners
  • Guide high-level casting strategies and partnership decisions for marquee campaigns
  • Ensure influencer partnerships are strategically aligned, culturally relevant, and commercially sound
  • Oversee financial, legal, and operational rigor across influencer engagements, in partnership with ops and finance teams

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in influencer marketing and creator strategy, including experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Experience operating at a Group Director, VP, or equivalent senior leadership level
  • 3+ years of experience growing and managing a team
  • Proven success in driving agency growth, including pitching, selling, and expanding client relationships
  • Strong executive presence and credibility with senior clients and internal leadership
  • Deep understanding of the creator economy, platforms, and evolving monetization models
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, offerings, and processes
  • Commercially sharp, with experience owning budgets, pricing, and margin considerations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance vision, strategy, and execution
  • Stellar communication and presentation skills
