As a key member of the core Group Controlling/Reporting Team, you will be involved for the planning, coordination and supervision of the activities relating to financial accounting, internal and external reporting (IFRS, multi-currency across many geographies), ensuring compliance, consistency, and insight across the organization (several business units, multiple countries). You will be involved in monthly closings, internal controls development, in external Group audit interactions, internal and external financial reporting and procedures development. You will work closely with finance colleagues from Group/divisional/local level, as well as with colleagues from other (non-financial) departments at Group level, providing them support and guidance and obtaining accurate information whenever need for Group Finance purposes. You are looking to progress your career in a professional international role and are ambitious to grow your skills and experience. You will work with Group Finance and senior finance managers/directors. This includes leading initiatives and driving improvement processes.
Job Responsibility:
Be a key member of the team delivering fast close, high quality internal and external financial reporting, quarterly and annual statutory account activities, board and management performance reporting
Support the external Group audit process with reconciliations, documentation and responses
Play an active role in internal reporting Group process, ensuring consistency, standardization and simplification
Work on some specific accounting tasks (ie acquisition accounting, impairment tests)
Maintain and develop internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards
Drive and implement new internal or legal requirements to ensure compliant reporting
Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance operations
Review manual adjustments posted by subsidiaries in the consolidation system
Provide training, support, guidance and oversight to financial (and sometimes non-financial) colleagues
Partner with business units to validate assumptions and ensure alignment with strategic goals
Support any ad hoc requests (information requests, analysis, data collections, specific calculations)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Finance direction
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a Financial/Reporting Controlling role in an international environment
External audit experience of minimum 3 years
Familiarity with IFRS standards
Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI or similar ERP systems
Experience with financial reporting, data visualisation tools and query tools/software is an asset
Experience in multi-currency, multi-country environment with group level reports highly desirable
Ability to manage several tasks and effectively prioritise
Self-organized and a strong sense of accountability
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills
Fluent English – written and spoken
