Job Description:

Bar Lina isn't your average bar. It's a place built on quality, craft, and the kind of genuine Italian hospitality that keeps guests coming back again and again. We're looking for a Group Bar Manager who is equal parts operator, leader, and bar enthusiast, someone who loves being on the floor as much as they love building a team. This is a senior, multi-site role leading the bar function across all Bar Lina sites. If you thrive on setting the standard, coaching others to meet it, and owning the performance of everything behind (and in front of) the bar, read on. As Group Bar Manager, you'll be the operational heartbeat of the bar function at Bar Lina. Reporting to the MD of Lina Stores, you'll work across all sites, being present on the floor, driving consistency, and developing Bar Managers and their teams into the best they can be. This is a hands-on leadership role: you lead by example, you hold the standard, and you take ownership of the bar's commercial and operational performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the floor across all Bar Lina sites, being present during service, modelling standards, and closing gaps in real time
  • Lead and develop Bar Managers and their teams through coaching, structured training, and clear SOPs that stick
  • Drive commercial performance: wet sales, GP margins, stock control, and waste across the portfolio
  • Manage supplier relationships and procurement, ensuring product consistency across every site
  • Handle escalated guest feedback, ensure compliance with licensing and H&S requirements, and report regularly to the MD

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading a bar team across multiple sites or in a senior bar management role
  • Real presence on the floor, you lead from the front, not from a spreadsheet
  • Strong coaching and development instincts, you get results by building people up
  • Commercial acumen: you understand GP, wet sales targets, stock control, and what drives bar profitability
  • Meticulous standards, you notice when things aren't right and you fix them
  • Excellent communication skills: clear, direct, and always approachable
  • A genuine love of great drinks, Italian hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Sound knowledge of licensing legislation and compliance requirements
What we offer:
  • OTE salary of £47,000
  • A senior leadership role with real autonomy and ownership across a growing brand
  • The support of an experienced leadership team that invests in your development
  • Access to Bar Lina's online learning platform and structured career progression
  • Staff meals, team discounts, and events across the Lina Stores and Bar Lina family
  • A fast-paced, people-first culture where hard work and great hospitality are genuinely valued
