We Are Social is seeking a Group Account Director to join our growing team! This role is a key leader within our agency, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of client accounts and managing a team of Account Coordinators to Account Directors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management, client relationship building, and strategic marketing planning. You will be a strong leader and communicator, capable of driving client success, fostering team collaboration, and contributing to the overall growth of the agency.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients (including C-suite), acting as their strategic advisor and ensuring their satisfaction
You strategically guide clients, understand their business goals, and provide valuable insights to drive their marketing success
Provide strategic marketing guidance and thought leadership by working to understand your clients’ businesses while simultaneously educating clients about how we can help
Lead and motivate a team by providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a productive working environment
Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with client objectives and business goals
Identify opportunities for client growth and develop sound and actionable annual and quarterly account plans
Develop staffing plans and scopes of work (project-based and retainer)
Collaborate with internal teams and their respective senior leads to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns
Manage financial performance of assigned accounts by effectively monitoring account health and managing a revenue tracker/forecast
Skillfully navigate challenging client situations or internal disagreements to achieve positive outcomes
Effectively and clearly present to a group and lead development of a client facing deck
Develop a deep understanding of the agency’s strengths and ways of working, and represent the agency professionally to clients and key stakeholders
Be an AI master and contribute to the development of the organization’s overarching AI strategy and train team members on new tools
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in account management or a related field with a focus on client relationship building and strategic planning
Proven experience in leading and managing a team
Demonstrated success in managing high-profile client accounts, delivering client satisfaction
Strong expertise in social media marketing, including a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends, best practices, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights to optimize campaign performance
Curiosity about clients’ business and a passion for solving business challenges
Strong presentation skills and ability to develop a clear deck
Highly proficient with Google Suite, Slack, A.I. tools, and Asana
