Job Description:

We are looking for hardworking and reliable Groundworkers to join a major civils project in Middlesbrough. This is a long-term, ongoing position for operatives who are happy to get stuck into general groundworks, specifically focusing on large-scale excavations and backfilling. If you are looking for a steady run of work in the Teesside area with a reputable contractor, this is the perfect opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Excavation & Trenching: Assisting with the digging of trenches and foundations for industrial infrastructure
  • Backfilling & Compaction: Managing the filling and leveling of excavated areas to required specifications
  • Machine Assistance: Working closely with 360 and Dumper operators to ensure safe and efficient muck-away and fill cycles
  • Service Location: Assisting in identifying live services before and during the digging process
  • Site Preparation: Ensuring the site remains clear, safe, and ready for the next phase of construction

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
  • Proven Experience: Solid background in general groundworks, particularly digging and filling on large civils or industrial sites
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic and a track record of consistent attendance
  • Safety First: A good understanding of site safety and a proactive approach to working around heavy plant
  • Local: Ideally based in Middlesbrough, Stockton, or Redcar for an easy commute
