Job Description:

Groundskeeper position at Courtyard by Marriott Cheddi Jagan International Airport Guyana responsible for maintaining property grounds, lawns, flower beds, and performing various maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasant and safe appearance of the hotel property.

Job Responsibility:

Monitor property grounds to ensure pleasant appearance
Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, raking leaves, and performing other lawn maintenance
Wash, clean, and re-fuel all equipment after use
Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming
Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans
Maintain appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs
Maintain appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling cracks, holes, and making repairs
Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies
Removal of snow and maintenance of ice management (if applicable)

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Less than 1-year related work experience
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to work up and down ladders
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
