Job Description:

To provide support to the estates department, taking a professional and proactive approach to general maintenance, and on-going improvements of the site, treating Health and Safety as a priority in all aspects of the role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Routine basic maintenance of the college grounds, including the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), cleaning and litter picking
  • operate and carry out basic maintenance to grounds maintenance machinery and equipment in line with Health & Safety regulations
  • assist with event set ups, including exam set up and take down, Open Days, Taster Days and Consultation Days
  • general upkeep of all site soft landscaping, including but not limited to weeding, mowing, strimming, hedge trimming

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and experienced candidate
  • ability to undertake manual tasks e.g. maintenance repairs/DIY
  • holds a First Aid Certificate or is willing to work towards one
  • able to work without direct supervision in a quick and efficient manner
