Job Description:

LEGENDS GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Grounds Manager at LEGENDS GLOBAL Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. This position reports directly to the Assistant Head Groundskeeper.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist Head Groundskeeper and Assistant Head Groundskeeper and any grounds staff with the daily maintenance of Oakland Coliseum playing field
  • Work as a groundskeeper for all field events that take place on the Oakland Coliseum field
  • Assist with any necessary changeovers regarding the Oakland Coliseum playing field
  • Assist with all aspects of the playing field maintenance including but not limited to mowing, fertilizing, painting, edging, turf care and divot repair
  • Assist with any necessary field repair and turf replacements throughout the year
  • Oversee part-time grounds crew staff

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work all scheduled field events- including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to operate all field maintenance equipment
  • Must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs.
  • Must have prior experience in professional turf maintenance

  • To ensure that operational ICT systems are updated in a timely manner across all staff, with all works recorded, completed/ closed and costed to enable accurate financial and performance reports
  • Assist with wider operational service issues including, contracts and renewal of horticultural plant and equipment
  • That the client’s key performance metrics are met, and activities are completed on time, to the correct quality and budget
  • To deputise for the other Grounds Maintenance Supervisor in their absence
  • To support the Operations Manager in implementing a strong vision for the service area which delivers ambitious, innovative and forward-thinking approaches. Develop and implement a digital focus across processes and service delivery
