Job Description

Responsible for exterior cleanliness and upkeep, including trash removal, window cleaning, and general grounds maintenance. Also responsible for cleaning charcoal grills, guest laundry facility and restrooms. Responsible for training and associate leadership. Responsible for oversight of maintenance attendants ensuring general upkeep of guest rooms and public areas. Also responsible for training and upholding Sawmill Creek Resort standards and company policies.

Job Responsibility

  • Leads a small group of Maintenance Attendants during shift
  • Moves and arranges furniture
  • Performs set-up for special events
  • Performs routine troubleshooting for in-room issues
  • Works with chemicals in accordance with all safety guidelines listed on the safety data sheets (SDS)
  • Uses cleaning equipment in accordance with the departmental safety guidelines
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
  • Cleans and maintains all exterior areas of the hotel, including parking lots, pools, entry ways, etc.
  • Responsible for completing minimal maintenance issues and responding to the requests of team leaders
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision

Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to use various equipment such as power washers, leaf blowers, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry over 50lbs.
  • Ability to remain calm during emotionally charged situations
  • Able to train and lead small crew of associates
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
