Job Description

Full Time, fixed term (May - October). 41.5 hours hours per week (Mon - Thursday 7.30 - 16.30. Friday 7.30 - 15.30). Grounds Maintenance Operative role at South Tyneside.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking grounds maintenance work including mowing large grassed areas, strimming, blowing, line marking and renovation, hedge trimming along with general maintenance to shrub beds
  • Sports markings, hedge cutting and hard surface spraying operations

Requirements

  • Must have driving license
  • PA1, PA6 spraying license (preferable)
  • Experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers is desirable
  • Must be reliable and conscientious
  • Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work on their own initiative
  • Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks and use of handheld machinery is desirable

Nice to have

  • PA1, PA6 spraying license
  • Experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks and use of handheld machinery
