Grounds Maintenance Operative | Burnley | Full Time Annualised Hours 40 Hours Per Week | £12.71 Per Hour | Are you highly motivated? Do you enjoy working outdoors? Are you enthusiastic and hardworking? If you identify with the above, this role was made for you! At Glendale, we have a great new opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our corporate team working on a variety of sites across the region, and most importantly, you will be joining a company that can offer valuable career prospects and believes in investing in its people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertaking grounds maintenance work including mowing large grassed areas
  • Strimming
  • Blowing
  • Line marking and renovation
  • Hedge trimming
  • General maintenance to shrub beds
  • Sports markings
  • Hedge cutting
  • Hard surface spraying operations

Requirements:

  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers is desirable
  • Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks and use of handheld machinery is desirable but full training will be given
  • Must be reliable and conscientious
  • Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Nice to have:

  • Experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers
  • Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks and use of handheld machinery
