Job Description:

The Property & Grounds Landscaping Manager supports Blue Ridge Mountain Club’s “Build Community” mission by overseeing the care and maintenance of the natural and landscaped environment throughout the community. This role ensures that all landscaping and trail systems are maintained to the highest standards through effective oversight of vendor contracts, proactive inspections, and coordination with the POA management team. The goal is to preserve the beauty, safety, and functionality of outdoor spaces while fostering a harmonious and welcoming environment for residents and guests.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage all landscaping and trail maintenance contracts and vendor relationships
  • Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas, trails, and natural spaces
  • Pruning, chemical application, turf management, and plant fertilization
  • Irrigation system maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with community standards and environmental guidelines
  • Coordinate seasonal landscaping plans and trail maintenance schedules
  • Monitor irrigation systems and erosion control measures
  • Communicate with vendors regarding performance, issues, and improvements
  • Maintain records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and vendor performance
  • Assist with budgeting and planning for landscaping and trail-related projects
  • Provide reports to the General and Community Manager on landscaping and trail conditions
  • Collaborate with Community Manager on common area upkeep
  • Identify and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Support capital improvement projects related to outdoor spaces
  • Assist with planning and execution of community beautification initiatives
  • Respond to resident inquiries and concerns related to landscaping and trails

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in landscaping management, groundskeeping, parks and recreation, or related industries
  • General knowledge of NC environmental and landscaping regulations
  • Familiarity with trail systems, erosion control, and native plant care
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with contractors, homeowners, and team members
  • Strong organizational and observational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Outlook
  • General financial and budget knowledge
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Reliable transportation and proof of valid insurance and registration
  • Clean driving record
