Assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with communication lines and electric power lines
Hoist tools and equipment to crew members and lower branches with rope or block and tackle
Position and steady ladders
Saw and cut up branches
Load debris, tree trunks and limbs onto trucks (using winch and chipping brush with chipper)
Carry chainsaws
Carry gas cans and oil jugs
Cut, drag, and mulch brush
Flag traffic utilizing stop/slow paddle and two-way radio
