Airbus is seeking an experienced Ground Test Engineer to join the Production Flight Test team in Mobile, Alabama. This critical role is centered on being a key player in the organization, dedicated to delivering timely and high-quality solutions to customers (airlines).
Job Responsibility:
Execute ground production and acceptance tests
Prepare for and support the pilot during Rejected Takeoff (RTO) procedures
Perform in-flight cabin functional checks
Serve as Cabin Safety Crew during Customer Acceptance Flights, special missions, and demonstration flights
Conduct Static Tests, APU Runs, Engine Runs, and Taxi operations on A320 and A220 aircraft
Manage a diverse portfolio of customer accounts to ensure the delivery of retrofit solutions and scheduled maintenance services meets all cost, timeline, and quality benchmarks
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of customer queries, which includes dispatching requests to the appropriate departments and initiating technical approval forms
Proactively escalate risks or blocked queries to ensure timely resolutions
Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams located across international sites
Direct on-site assistance for airline partners, focusing on the evaluation of maintenance programs and service bulletins
Assess the status of aircraft when deviations from standard maintenance procedures occur
Define the necessary recovery actions to return aircraft to airworthy conditions while identifying and mitigating any risks related to unsafe or unsecure storage environments
Monitor subcontractor performance by tracking metrics such as on-time delivery, first-time fix rates, and overall autonomy
Lead monthly quality reviews and collaborate with the quality department to develop action plans that improve the standard of technical responses
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Minimum 8 years’ experience in aeronautical company technical department and various ATA chapter
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or Type Certificate (TC) or European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Medical Class 2
Experience on Airbus A320 or A22
Familiarity with A220 and A320 systems, including avionics, cabin systems, and powerplants
Must hold an EASA, TCCA, or FAA Class 2 Medical and be able to perform duties as aircrew on a daily basis
Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to understand and mentor principles within assigned discipline
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical aircraft topics
Excellent communication, coordination, and organization skills
Ability to inter-relate with and motivate diverse teams
Authorized to work in the US

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice
