Job Description:

We are seeking a Ground Station System Validation Engineer to work join global leader working on ground station systems that integrate control, data processing, PHY and radio hardware/firmware to deliver full communication solutions supporting DVB-S2X and a range of Radio and IP protocols.

Job Responsibility:

  • Validate landing station systems across PHY, hardware, and software
  • Collaborate with system engineers to study requirements and create test plans
  • Develop and execute automated and manual test procedures
  • Build and maintain test setups for regression and feature testing
  • Perform integration, bring-up, debugging, and defect analysis
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Support continuous integration and test management tools
  • Analyse and report test data with regular metrics

Requirements:

  • MSc/BSc in Electronic Engineering
  • Strong commercial experience of system validation with complex HW/SW/embedded designs
  • Hands-on RF layer testing using spectrum analysers, VNAs, signal generators, and other lab equipment
  • Strong programming/automation skills (Python, C#, C++)
  • Experience with IP networking systems, protocols, and performance testing

  • Ensure ground systems provide clear, reliable, and intuitive operator workflows
  • Define and maintain interfaces between ground systems and airborne mission systems, autonomy, and communications

  • Identify usability, integration, and performance risks early and drive resolution
  • Provide day-to-day technical leadership, mentorship, and feedback to engineers within the Ground Segment scope
