Ground Maintenance Tech

• Responsible for daily rounds throughout the complex noting and repairing all items logged at each department location
• Involved with other day to day operational projects
• Assist other facilities staff as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess a valid New York State Drivers License to operate assigned vehicles
• Good mechanical knowledge, vocational school helpful
• Ability to follow written instructions in reference to work orders, constructing, installations, etc.
• Ability to safely use hand and some power tools, tractor, mower, snow plow, etc.
• Ability to plan layout, plant and maintain flower beds and shrubs
• Ability to communicate well with managers, co-workers, hospital staff, patients and visitors
• Conducts himself/herself as a self-directed professional, courteous attitude, works independently with minimal supervision, and strive for continuous quality improvement

NYS certification for Asbestos O & M preferred
