Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and responsible early riser that can work efficiently with excellent customer services skills who is keen to join our team as a Grocery Assistant. You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality produce and excellent service we offer our customers here at New World Mosgiel.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing excellent customer service and assisting with customer enquiries
  • Shelf filling
  • Ensuring shelves and displays meet required presentation standards
  • Date checking and stock rotation
  • Assist with all other duties that form part of the Grocery department
  • Cleaning
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Be customer driven
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Passion for customer service
  • High presentation standards and good attention to detail
  • Be reliable
  • Have a good work ethic
  • Enjoy being busy and able to work well under pressure
  • Be able to work at least one weekend day
  • Flexibility to work extra shifts when required
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Physically fit as there is repetitive heavy lifting involved

Nice to have:

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary
