We have an exciting opportunity for a Grinding Operator to join our team in Chilca, Lima. You will be part of our Global Team. Job Responsibility:

  • Operate grinding equipment in accordance with standards, procedures and work instructions, performing grinding, deburring and finishing work on castings using swing frame grinders and hand grinders
  • Use gauges and templates to grind castings to the required dimensions and manipulate castings using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
  • Assist other colleagues in the workshop and with production, installation and maintenance activities, complete prestart and post-operation checks and keep the work area, tools and equipment safe, clean and in good order
  • Demonstrate that safety is your number one priority, comply with all safety, sustainability and quality standards, participate in training, safety interactions and task observations, and proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and waste reduction

Requirements:

  • Technical background, preferably with a Foundry Grinding Operator certification or similar
  • At least three years of relevant experience operating grinding equipment in foundry or heavy manufacturing environments
  • Foundry Grinding Operator certification or an equivalent qualification is strongly preferred
  • Experience in foundry, heavy manufacturing, fabrication or mining wear products is highly valued
  • Intermediate or conversational level in English is valued but not mandatory
