Job Description

Grid Connection Engineer role managing projects related to interaction between users (PV, battery storage, windfarms & etc.) and the grid, ensuring efficient project delivery and acting as focal point for technical, commercial and regulatory issues surrounding grid compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing projects related to interaction between users (PV, battery storage, windfarms & etc.) and the grid
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently (within scope, cost and time)
  • Act as the focal point for technical, commercial and regulatory issues surrounding grid compliance and grid connection for transmission and distribution networks
  • Provide technical assistance during project development
  • Carry out technical due diligence and risk assessment on grid connection conditions/agreements
  • Manage Technical Advisors and Consultants to support Grid and Delivery related activities across Italy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Italian TSO and DNOs
  • Manage and be responsible for the process of grid applications ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner

Requirements

  • 5+ years involvement in medium to large-scale (10-50 MW) interconnections of power generation projects
  • Participation in and leading interconnection processes in Italy
  • Strong ties to key industry players
  • Knowledge of market-standard construction and equipment costs
  • University Degree in Electrical Power Systems and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent use of English Language
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite

Nice to have

Candidates with additional qualification in renewable energy (especially RES) would be advantageous
