Love hands-on work? Join DeVry Greenhouses as a Production Labourer! Support greenhouse and nursery operations, grow your skills, and be part of a collaborative, fast-paced team. DeVry Greenhouses is seeking motivated individuals with a positive attitude to join our fun and energetic team. The core focus of this position is to support production activities across our greenhouse and nursery operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Field work as required
  • Tree planting
  • Palletizing and material handling
  • Order picking and preparation for shipping
  • Machine operation (training provided where required)
  • Shipping and loading of plants
  • Propagating various types of cuttings
  • Planting, spacing, and spiking of plants
  • Order picking within the greenhouse
  • Other miscellaneous duties required in a greenhouse and nursery setting

Requirements:

  • Hard-working and reliable
  • Self-motivated with a positive and uplifting can-do attitude
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willing and able to work extended hours during peak shipping seasons
  • Willing to work at other DeVry locations if operational support is needed
  • Previous greenhouse or nursery experience is an asset
