Graphic Designer position for a Medical Device Company. 12-month contract, 40 hours/week, 1st shift (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). Entry Level. Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only.
Job Responsibility:
Creates and/or modifies artwork based on provided instructions
Keeps software revisions up to date, while maintaining compliance and compatibility with the Business Units
Provides assurance that the quality of all artwork and packaging graphics complies with BD Brand standards
Remains current with ongoing Regulatory compliance and industry guidelines
Adherence to all artwork standards and procedures/policies found at the Business Unit, corporate, industry and international levels
Coordinate with BD documentation associates to provide completed PDF and zipped source files for CR approvals
Has good collaboration skills and asks questions when in doubt
Works well in a cross-functional team environment
Executes work in a fast-paced deadline orientated environment
Demonstrates strong organizational, team work and communication skills
Is familiar with Quality management systems
Creates InDesign documents, using solid understanding of desktop publishing (DTP) best practices
Demonstrates high proficiency in latest Adobe Creative Suite, including, but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop
Creates or modifies line art/vector illustrations used within labeling and/or other artwork
Demonstrates knowledge of printing process for proper prepress work and file preparation/export
Coordinates release of finished artwork files for labeling and packaging preparation with external vendors, via OneDrive or email
Demonstrates attention to detail, ensuring label accuracy in order to avoid recalls, delays, or errors in product development and added expense
Documents, files and properly archives all artwork touchpoints
Delivers artwork assignments on time and which meet BD Quality and Brand requirements
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing
Demonstrated ability as a creative designer of products and applied graphics within a 2D/3D packaging space
Extensive experience with Mac and/or PC computer graphics and design software (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and PhotoShop)
Experience with MS Excel
Knowledge of packaging/labeling materials, packaging configurations, equipment, and printing techniques
Knowledge of Regulatory (domestic and international) labeling requirements, procedures, and standards
Experience working in a deadline-driven, regulated industry
Communication via MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc
Associate or Bachelor Degree equivalent in Graphic Design or in relatable field of study.

Multilingual a plus
Medical Device graphic design experience a plus
Knowledge of Specific Procedures and Practices: External Regulations (ISO, FDA, OSHA, ASTM), Design Control, EUMDR/IVDR, UDI
