We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join a dynamic team in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This contract-to-permanent role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining onsite collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will contribute to impactful projects for a not-for-profit organization that supports the Metro-Detroit community through events, advocacy, and education. Job Responsibility

  • Design and produce engaging visual content across various media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand standards
  • Collaborate with a creative team to develop and refine marketing materials for community-focused initiatives
  • Assist in the execution of campaigns, including production-heavy tasks and original conceptual work
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and provide design support for an involved board and staff
  • Create high-quality event collateral for large-scale gatherings ranging from 15 to 600 attendees
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to produce visually appealing designs
  • Implement strong typography skills to maintain a consistent, type-driven brand identity
  • Leverage AI tools for creative brainstorming and innovation in design projects
  • Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Creative Cloud
  • Strong knowledge of typography and its application in brand-driven designs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana
  • Exceptional adaptability, teamwork, and openness to feedback
  • Willingness to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday–Thursday) with occasional remote flexibility
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing within an entry-level to mid-level role

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with After Effects is an advantage
  • Motion graphics experience with After Effects is a plus
